About QRIS
In Indonesia, QR codes are paid through QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), operated by Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Payment System Association (ASPI). QRIS merged dozens of wallet-specific codes into one national standard that every Indonesian bank and e-wallet reads.
You will see QRIS codes at warungs, beach clubs in Bali, minimarkets, scooter rentals and temple entrances. With QRiks every one of them can be paid with USDT, and the merchant receives Indonesian rupiah as usual.
Can I pay QRIS codes without a Indonesian bank account?
Yes. With QRiks you scan the QRIS code and pay with USDT. A vetted payer in Indonesia pays the merchant from their own Indonesian account, so you don't need a local bank account, card or phone number.
What does the merchant in Indonesia receive?
The merchant receives Indonesian rupiah (IDR) through QRIS, exactly like a payment from a local customer. They don't need to know about QRiks or accept crypto.
What do I pay with?
USDT on Polygon from your QRiks wallet. The quote shows the exchange rate, our fee and the network cost before you confirm.
Who runs QRIS?
QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) is operated by Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Payment System Association (ASPI).
What if the payment doesn't go through?
Your USDT stays in escrow until an independent validator in Indonesia confirms that the merchant was paid. If the merchant wasn't paid, your USDT is returned.
Where can I pay with QRIS in Indonesia?
Anywhere a QRIS QR code is displayed: warungs, beach clubs in Bali, minimarkets, scooter rentals and temple entrances.
