About CoDi
In Mexico, QR codes are paid through CoDi (Cobro Digital), operated by Banco de México (Banxico), over SPEI. CoDi requests run over SPEI, Banco de México's interbank system, and settle between bank accounts.
You will see CoDi codes at shops, markets, restaurants and service payments. With QRiks every one of them can be paid with USDT, and the merchant receives Mexican pesos as usual.
Can I pay CoDi QR codes without a Mexican bank account?
Yes. With QRiks you scan the CoDi code and pay with USDT. A vetted payer in Mexico pays the merchant from their own Mexican account, so you don't need a local bank account, card or phone number.
What does the merchant in Mexico receive?
The merchant receives Mexican pesos (MXN) through CoDi, exactly like a payment from a local customer. They don't need to know about QRiks or accept crypto.
What do I pay with?
USDT on Polygon from your QRiks wallet. The quote shows the exchange rate, our fee and the network cost before you confirm.
