Pay PromptPay QR codes in Thailand with USDT

Scan any PromptPay code and pay from your stablecoin wallet. A local payer settles the bill in Thai baht, and the merchant sees a normal PromptPay payment — no Thai bank account, card or cash.

How to pay a PromptPay QR code in Thailand

    Confirmed, then settled

An independent validator in Thailand confirms the merchant was paid in Thai baht. Then the escrow is released.

About PromptPay

In Thailand, QR codes are paid through PromptPay (Thai QR Payment), operated by National ITMX under the Bank of Thailand. Thai QR Payment codes carry the PromptPay mark and are read by Thai banking apps.

You will see PromptPay codes at street-food carts, 7-Eleven counters, night markets, tuk-tuks and temple shops. With QRiks every one of them can be paid with USDT, and the merchant receives Thai baht as usual.

Can I pay PromptPay QR codes without a Thai bank account?

Yes. With QRiks you scan the PromptPay code and pay with USDT. A vetted payer in Thailand pays the merchant from their own Thai account, so you don't need a local bank account, card or phone number.

What does the merchant in Thailand receive?

The merchant receives Thai baht (THB) through PromptPay, exactly like a payment from a local customer. They don't need to know about QRiks or accept crypto.

What do I pay with?

USDT on Polygon from your QRiks wallet. The quote shows the exchange rate, our fee and the network cost before you confirm.

Who runs PromptPay?

PromptPay (Thai QR Payment) is operated by National ITMX under the Bank of Thailand.

What if the payment doesn't go through?

Your USDT stays in escrow until an independent validator in Thailand confirms that the merchant was paid. If the merchant wasn't paid, your USDT is returned.

Where can I pay with PromptPay in Thailand?

Anywhere a PromptPay QR code is displayed: street-food carts, 7-Eleven counters, night markets, tuk-tuks and temple shops.
